Before the drawing, there is the fabric.
For our first capsule, every one of them comes from the deadstock of luxury houses. Exceptional fabrics, woven for other stories, then left in reserve. We are giving them a new one.
How we choose them
A fabric is not chosen from a catalogue. You look at it in the light, crumple it in your hand, let it fall to see how it drapes.
First we look for a natural fibre: silk, wool, linen, cotton. Then a colour that holds its own without insisting. Then a drape, the one the piece calls for, fluid or architectural. Finally, a hand: what the fabric will say to the skin, from morning to night.
When everything comes together, the piece can begin.
Where they come from
Our fabrics come from Nona Source, a platform born within the LVMH group to give new life to the dormant materials of its houses. Every length is identified, traced and stored in France.
Deadstock is fabric woven in excess, the end of a collection, an order that never happened. An intact material, waiting for its moment. We write about it at greater length in Deadstock: what if the fabric came before the design?
Our fabrics
Wild silk and linen
The irregular grain of wild silk, its matte, almost mineral light. Linen, in counterpoint, gives it structure. A living fabric that moves with the body.
67% wild silk, 33% linen · lining 100% cupro
For the Sonora dress
Silk ottoman
Tight ribs, a dense weave that holds the line without freezing it. The silk gains depth here, almost an architecture.
100% silk · lining 100% cotton
For the Eve corset
Japanese wool gabardine
A crisp wool with a clean drape. It regulates warmth on its own: enveloping when it's cold, breathable on warmer days. A wool for all four seasons.
100% wool, 234 g/m²
For the Dune Noire trousers
Cotton and silk faille
Cotton for honesty, silk for light. A quiet sheen that softens with wear and becomes yours, day after day.
77% cotton, 23% silk
For the Storm shirt
Cotton gabardine
Midweight and dense, with just enough body to hold a curve. Cotton at its most composed.
100% cotton
For the Dune trousers
What rarity means
Deadstock cannot be restocked. When the last metre is cut, the series ends.
A colour may never come back. The same piece is never quite remade identically. That is the nature of these fabrics, and what makes them precious.
For the capsules to come, our standard will stay the same: start from what already exists, whenever possible, and choose every fabric with the same care.
