Our signature trousers, in 100% natural, temperature-regulating Japanese wool gabardine. A rounded, barrel-inspired cut, shaped by curved arc seams. Wide, structured turn-ups. A waistband that is half structured, half elasticated, for comfort all day long. Three pockets, one designed for your phone. Engraved natural mother-of-pearl buttons.

DESCRIPTION

The curve, like a dune.

Trousers with a rounded cut, inspired by the barrel leg and reimagined by copain.e. Curved seams trace an arc down the leg; wide, structured turn-ups close the line. A curving silhouette, punctuated by asymmetric details.

The waistband is structured at the front and elasticated at the back: it holds the line and follows the body through the day. Comfort, without ever losing the shape of the silhouette.

It is cut from a 234 g/m² Japanese wool gabardine that regulates temperature: warm when it needs to be, never stifling, a wool for every season. Lined to the knee, for comfort and hold. The buttons are natural mother-of-pearl, engraved copain.e.

Mother-of-pearl is a natural, living material: avoid direct contact with the iron, perfume and cosmetics. Handled with care, the buttons keep their lustre over time.
FIT & SIZING

We designed the Dune Noire trousers to sit just above the ankle. The combined sizes and elasticated waistband adapt easily to every body shape, and add comfort.
We recommend choosing your usual size. You can also use this size guide:
- XS/S for FR 34/36 (UK 6/8, US 2/4)
- S/M for FR 38/40 (UK 10/12, US 6/8)
- M/L for FR 42/44 (UK 14/16, US 10/12)

Our model is 1.71 m (5'7") tall and wears the Dune in XS/S, for a more pronounced effect.

What if the fabric came before the design?

For this first capsule, copain.e chose to start from the dormant fabrics of luxury houses: noble materials that had already passed through demanding mills and workshops, but were never made into clothing. Rather than a design calling for a fabric, here it is the fabric, its rarity, its drape, its provenance, that draws the piece. Limited quantities, available only once, for series that are unique by nature.
